The Saroj Patel Grant is made each year to support a charitable healthcare project. Saroj was born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya and she later became a dedicated nurse working for the NHS in the UK at St Georges Hospital.
Saroj was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 24 and lost her battle 6 years later leaving Nita, her young daughter behind. Nita is the Chair of the MAHA Foundation entrusted with ensuring that as many children and young adults as possible will benefit from charitable grants made each year.
“No one who does good work will ever come to a bad end, either here or in the world to come.”

One project at a time...
The MAHA Foundation is a privately funded, not-for-profit organization and as such does not solicit donations from the public; however, we are thankful to those family and friends who have pledged contributions to The Foundation and donated their time and expertise to support projects.
